This course is specially formulated for students who have good knowledge of make-up and wish to better understand and create looks for the fashion industry however complete beginners can apply for this course too and our team of expert tutors will dedicate extra time with the student in the first week to understand the basics of make up.

If you are looking for an intensive all-encompassing make-up course then this is the ultimate course for you.

This course will provide you with practical knowledge and knowhow for make up and makeup products - theory, demos and practical activities, and help you understand the fundamentals of make up for the fashion industry, magazine, avant garde, runway looks, photo shoots in colour and black & white photography and much more, understanding and putting together looks for Runway shows or other events based on a brief or story.

This course will teach you special techniques for glitter, body painting, stencils, pigments, accessories and some hairstyle.

Students will also be visiting various Makeup stores and special outlets in London for guest talks and demos to get a good understanding on the products that are on current trend!

Students will be practising on each other and also with well known industry models, and at the end of the course each student will be preparing their own portfolio with a professional model/photographer in London.

The students can choose to add on a bridal make up specialisation to this course, and can choose to specialise in Asian/ Arabic Bride or European/ American Bride.

This course takes you from the beginner's foundation level through to Creative skills Fashion, Photographic and Catwalk/Runway (with no previous experience required) and onwards to media, film and theatrical make-up. All of our make-up courses are designed to give the student as much time applying make-up and hands-on experience as possible.

There is no need to undertake a separate foundation module prior to starting this course as if a student is a complete beginner our specialist tutors will include the basic in the first week if you come with basic or enhanced knowledge then our expert tutors will teach you at that level where this course will compliment your current ability!

Over the following weeks students will spend each day under the instruction of some of the world's top artists who will be handing over all the latest techniques and looks in various aspects of high fashion, photographic and media make-up.

Learning Outcomes

This is a intensive course and the student portfolios which each student creates at the end of the course is the best asset for learners of this course.

Certification

Upon the successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate of completion from LST. The British Accreditation Council accredits LST.

Withdrawal from course

Residential/Non Residential Short Course:
If you decide to withdraw from the course before the start date, a refund (deducting any charges that might have been applied by a third party) will be processed for you.
*International Students: If your visa has been refused, a full refund (deducting a £500 administrative fees) will be processed for you.

-We will be unable to process any refunds once the course has started, or if the visa has been issued for an international student and you decide to withdraw.

Entry Requirements

The London School of Trends looks forward in training the applicants who have a keen interest in the creative field of fashion styling. We give utmost importance to the passion of the student and their dedication towards learning the course. All of our courses are taught in English, and the applicant must have a good command over the language.

Course Application

You will be required to complete the filling of the application form for the London School of Trends provided below. The applicant must be of at least 18 years of age at the start of the course.

International Students

All our courses are taught in English so a good command over English is essential.
(If the applicant is not proficient in English, it is recommended that they obtain an IELTS score of 6+ at the minimum. You can visit the website: ielts.org for more information about this test).

The applicant must be fully vaccinated against covid-19* in order to get the exemption for mandatory quarantine. Please refer to government guidelines. Our admissions officer will explain this to you in detail.
