This one-year foundation in interior design course will offer students a chance to develop critical, independent thinking and practical ability to learn different subjects and pathways, helping them to determine which area of the industry they would like to focus on and provide better guidance on their further academic or future career choices.

The LST Level 4 interior design is designed to provide students with the skills and learning that will help them identify and develop their future progression in the industry. The skills developed through this qualification may also support students directly into employment in the various creative industries.

This qualification will provide students with an opportunity to expand and improve their practical skills levels while also defining their interests and area of expertise. It will establish a range of creative approaches to learning used within a higher education context and will allow students to explore the variety of resourcesthat will support their industry-based or educational career.
This qualification will give students the opportunity to engage with a full spectrum of design skills, including technical and professional skills. The qualification will teach students how to consider design practice within the global context of social, economic and ecological sustainability. The students will learn through project-based learning to develop skills to articulate design ideas and solutions. They will gain a critical understanding of the historical, social and cultural contexts of interior practices and have access to workshops and guest speakers

To be awarded with LST Level 4 Diploma in interior design students must pass the following five mandatory units:
A UK awarding body awards our qualifications under the ECAS scheme approved by SQA Accreditation, one of the national qualification regulators in the United Kingdom which is accepted globally. On completion of the course, students will receive a level 4 award with 120 credits. Students will also receive a certified diploma from LST, accredited by British Accreditation Council.
Students will also have the opportunity to develop their portfolios in London and attend the LST Certification Ceremony at House of Commons in London.
Students should be a minimum of 17 years of age.
United Kingdom:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C (9-4 on the new grading system) and level 3 qualifications, including A levels, NVQ/SVQ Level 3, or a BTEC National. Some will expect or require applicants to have subjects related to the particular apprenticeship.
India:
Successful completion of the Standard 10+1 with 50% or above or Standard 10+2 at 55% or above.
Rest of the World:
International students are expected to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English with a recommended minimum IELTS (or equivalent) score of 5.0 or submit their English subject test scores.
